Jake Paul vs Nate Diaz LIVE! Boxing result, fight stream, latest updates and reaction after ten-round bout

Jake Paul vs Nate Diaz - LIVE!

Jake Paul returned to winning ways as he beat Nate Diaz by unanimous decision in Dallas. Back in the ring for the first time since his defeat to long-time rival Tommy Fury earlier this year, Paul took on former UFC star Diaz, who was making his professional boxing debut.

Paul had Diaz hurt in the first round and, although the 38-year-old rallied in the fourth with a relentless three minutes of work, a left hook sent Diaz tumbling to the canvas in the fifth. Again though Paul could not capitalise and he increasingly looked the more tired as the fight went on, Diaz enjoying another burst in the eighth round.

There was very little in the way of boxing fundamentals from Diaz, but those shortcomings were somewhat overcome when he made the fight ugly on the inside. He did spend more than playing up to the ground than fighting in the final three minutes, though that mattered not as the bout was scored 97-92, 98-91, 98-91 in Paul’s favour.

KSI not impressed

06:34 , Matt Verri

06:28 , Matt Verri

So Jake Paul has offered Nate Diaz $10m to fight him in cage. Very bold!

Diaz would of course be a huge favourite to do that, but Paul has made it clear that’s his priority rather than a Tommy Fury rematch.

With Fury fighting KSI in October, that could leave Paul and Diaz to fight at the end of the year before Paul turns his focus to a Fury rematch, or a KSI bout, in 2024.

Reaction from both fighters...

06:17 , Matt Verri

Stick with us!

06:14 , Matt Verri

We’ll have all the reaction right here.

Paul says he wants to fight Diaz in the octagon next - always up for a challenge.

Full quotes coming up next...

Paul gets the decision!

06:10 , Matt Verri

It’s a unanimous decision. 97-92. 98-91. 98-91.

Wide on all three cards. Had it a bit tighter than that, but it’s the right result. Paul the better boxer in there, for all Diaz tried to rough him up and work on the inside.

Paul moves to 7-1 and back to winning ways.

Some start from Paul!

06:07 , Matt Verri

Paul vs Diaz

06:06 , Matt Verri

Round 10

Diaz needs this final round, but it’s Paul who has started it well. Two big shots to start, and then snaps a left hook in.

Is there one final charge from Diaz? Well he’s gone over and leant on the ropes, he’s urging Paul on. Diaz needs to let his hands go, the acting isn’t helping him.

A minute to go, the round is still there to be won by either of them. And here comes Diaz, Paul staggers back after getting tagged by the right hand. Wastes ten seconds leaning on Diaz on the ropes.

Lovely uppercut from Paul, Diaz responds by getting him in a headlock and celebrating to the crowd.

And there’s the final bell. Fun fight - Paul has probably done enough to take it by a round or two.

Paul vs Diaz

06:02 , Matt Verri

Round 9

Diaz has to back that good round up, which he hasn’t been able to do so far in the fight.

Paul looks to have got himself together, boxing behind the jab and looking lighter on his feet too. Diaz turns his back to look at the crowd, he has slowed right down again. Not what he needs.

Diaz again turns to the crowd, he’s not happy that Paul isn’t standing there and exchanging with him. He’s finishing strong, is the 38-year-old, keeps having these bursts of energy.

Very tight round - that decent finish could be enough for Diaz to edge it.

Paul vs Diaz

05:58 , Matt Verri

Round 8

Diaz’s corner have told him “no more rounds” to Paul, they want more from their man. Three rounds to go and you feel Diaz needs all of them.

Paul has definitely tired a bit now, those punches are having no real impact on Diaz now. Power is not there as it was early on.

Problem for Diaz is, he’s not looking particularly fresh either. Referee is letting them work on the inside and in the clinch, which is helping Diaz. That’s where all his success is coming.

Succession of uppercuts land, Paul getting caught. And a huge straight left from Diaz, he’s on the charge!

Superb round, Paul very relieved to hear the bell. Two rounds left and we have a fight!

Paul vs Diaz

05:54 , Matt Verri

Round 7

Straight right from Paul, punching through Diaz’s guard. Commentators asking whether Diaz is trying to kid Paul by pretending he’s more tired than he actually is. If that’s true, he is very, very, very deep undercover.

Paul does look more uncomfortable when Diaz closes the distance and gets to work on the inside, but he lands a great right hand there as Diaz moves in.

Better final minute from Diaz, he’s turned the work-rate up and let his hands go a lot more. Might have been enough to edge it.

Paul vs Diaz

05:50 , Matt Verri

Round 6

Diaz is gasping for air, does not look like he’s got ten rounds in him.

Back on the ropes again, Paul completely in control of this fight now. Feels like that positive fourth round from Diaz really took it out of him, been tired ever since.

Diaz just cannot get forward enough to close the distance now, that work on the inside isn’t really happening enough for him.

Another round in the bag for Paul.

Paul vs Diaz

05:46 , Matt Verri

Round 5

Right uppercut from Paul, Diaz’s legs look completely gone! He’s a big shot away from going here, surely.

He’s trying to slow things down, get his breath and his legs back. Doing a decent job of doing so, Paul has helped him by easing off the pace. Body shots are hurting Diaz quite clearly when they do come in.

He makes it to the end of the round, 10-8 round for Paul and Diaz has not fully recovered from the knockdown.

Paul vs Diaz

05:44 , Matt Verri

Round 5

Not sure even Diaz can maintain the pace he showed in that last round for the rest of the fight.

And that much is clear as he walks back onto the ropes and takes big deep breaths, he’s keen to take a bit of a breather here.

DIAZ DOWN. Left hook from Paul, Diaz stumbles to the canvas. Quickly up, doesn’t look too badly hurt. 90 seconds left in the round.

Paul vs Diaz

05:42 , Matt Verri

Round 4

More good work from Diaz on the inside, the uglier the better for him. Would suggest his camp did not involve much talk about the jab, he hasn’t thrown one yet.

Pace is being pushed by Diaz, who is throwing plenty at close range. None of them powerful shots, but they’re all adding up to slow Paul down. Relentless work rate.

They exchange uppercuts, before Diaz lands a really nice left hook. Probably his best shot of the fight, he’s growing in confidence now and the crowd are responding.

Paul looking rattled, he’s not enjoying this pace at all now. Brilliant round for Diaz.

Paul vs Diaz

05:38 , Matt Verri

Round 3

Diaz continues to march forward, he wants to get on the inside where he can let his hands go at close range. Smothering Paul is proving to be a pretty effective strategy.

Needs to keep doing that, because when he doesn’t close the distance Paul is well on top. Another clean left hook.

Not pretty at all from Diaz, very much looking like someone in their first boxing fight. There’s already been a few clashes of heads, both lunging in with big overhand rights.

This is not going to be an easy fight to score at all. I’ll go 2-1 Paul after three.

Paul vs Diaz

05:34 , Matt Verri

Round 2

Diaz’s best bet right now seems to be hoping that Paul gets tired after that opening burst. That might be his only bet, because there’s not much to be encouraged by from his hands.

That’s better though, Diaz getting to work on the inside and trying to rough Paul up, happy to make it an ugly fight. And a nice straight left to back it up.

Two right hooks from Paul though, Diaz staggers again. Smiles at Paul but he looked hurt though.

The right eye of Diaz is not looking good, he keeps flicking at it. Clearly bothering him - bit of a shove from Diaz as the bell rings and the pair walk into each other.

Better round from Diaz, but that was from the lowest of low bars.

Paul vs Diaz

05:29 , Matt Verri

Round 1

Paul bouncing around in the opening seconds. Diaz fairly flat-footed - not a lot of movement with his head or feet.

Big left hook from Paul, brilliant start and Diaz is in trouble already! He’s back on the ropes and desperately trying to hang on.

HUGE shot again, Diaz is all over the place. Trying to skip around the ring, needs to hol and get his legs back underneath him. There’s already swelling around the right eye of Diaz, he looks so uncomfortable in the ring.

Superb start from Paul - fairly disastrous opening three minutes for Diaz.

It’s time!

05:26 , Matt Verri

At last. All the talk and pre-fight messing around is over.

Reminder that this bout is now scheduled for ten rounds, a first for Jake Paul.

And of course Nate Diaz, in his first ever professional boxing fight. Hugely experienced on the big stage though.

We’re up and running in the first round!

05:22 , Matt Verri

Diaz is in the ring, main event now just a few minutes away.

It’s never boring when Diaz involved, whatever the result. He’ll throw everything at this until the very end.

So much scar tissue on his face, will that hold up or will the blood appear early on? Time to find out.

05:19 , Matt Verri

Paul has so many people walking with it that he’s almost being crushed in the middle of them. Not sure that’s great planning.

Anyway, he’s in the ring and a chorus of boost greets him! Crowd are firmly behind Nate Diaz tonight.

Speaking of, here he is. Huge cheers as the 38-year-old begins his stroll.

Here we go!

05:17 , Matt Verri

Ring walks were originally scheduled to take place between 4-4:30am BST... we’re well past that now.

Fair few of the undercard fights went the distance, but nobody has been in a rush inside the arena.

But here we go! Jake Paul is on his way to the ring.

And in the Diaz camp...

05:13 , Matt Verri

Jake Paul’s thoughts backstage

05:12 , Matt Verri

“We’re just having fun, full of joy and love. We’re ready to explode baby.

“All of this is surreal. Just have fun out there, that’s what I’m focused on tonight.”

On his prediction for the fight: “Early [knockout}. Early bird gets the worm - I’m feeling electric, I’m feeling strong. He’s going to run into some s***.”

Serrano has a message...

05:09 , Matt Verri

Main event time!

05:03 , Matt Verri

Well, it’s just gone 5am in the UK but it’s now almost time for the main event!

The undercard is done, Jake Paul vs Nate Diaz is next.

We’ve seen some brutal performances on the undercard, plenty of heart too. Chance for the main men to cap the night off in style.

It’s Paul who goes into the fight as favourite, Diaz needing to pull off a big upset on his boxing debut.

Nobody was stopping her...

04:59 , Matt Verri

Serrano eases to victory!

04:55 , Matt Verri

99-91. 100-90. 100-90.

Amanda Serrano is still the undisputed featherweight champion of the world.

Not sure what round one of those judges decided to give to Heather Hardy - everyone else in the arena and watching on TV must have taken a two-minute blink at some point.

Anyway, Serrano cruises to victory. Taylor rematch next?

Meanwhile, back stage....

04:54 , Matt Verri

Serrano vs Hardy

04:52 , Matt Verri

Round 10

Nothing short of miraculous that Hardy is here as the final round begins. And it is a ridiculous start to it, both with their chins up and just swinging away wildly, brilliant action!

Hardy now deserves to hear the final bell, astonishing that she is still standing. Serrano has been utterly dominant from the first second.

Another burst, Hardy’s legs give way again and she leans back into the corner. 30 seconds for her to survive.

HUGE left from Serrano, who couldn’t care less that she’s already won this and continues to throw the kitchen sink at Hardy.

There is the final bell. Crazy fight, crazy heart from Hardy. Serrano has won every round though.

Serrano vs Hardy

04:49 , Matt Verri

Round 9

Hardy telling her corner that her left eye is bothering her, closing up and she’s struggling to see. Corner give the impression that they couldn’t care less, not great. Doctor has a quick look, Hardy will continue.

Left to the body from Serrano, crumples Hardy but she just about stays on her feet. Her legs are going now though, that eye is really closing up and Hardy can’t see clearly.

“Stop, stop” and the referee has paused the fight. Big cut at the top of Hardy’s forehand, a lot of blood coming from it.

Hardy waves everyone away and demands to continue, huge roar from the crowd. Serrano laughing as he fist pumps Hardy, loving the heart she’s seeing from.

Serrano vs Hardy

04:46 , Matt Verri

Round 8

After that burst a couple of rounds ago, Serrano has settled back into her composed rhythm. Nice and patient but still crisp when she does let her hands go.

Even when Hardy does land on Serrano, it’s having no impact at all. Serrano sitting on the back foot in the final 30 seconds and countering brilliantly - so, so skilful.

Only four minutes left for Hardy, if she just wants to hear the final bell.

Serrano vs Hardy

04:41 , Matt Verri

Round 7

Sharp right hand snaps Hardy’s head back, combinations continue to land from Serrano. And another right hook, she can’t miss.

Hardy, to be fair to her, is still letting her hands go. Very brave, but three massive shots from Serrano land on the bell!

Dear me, it’s brutal. A pat on the head from Serrano as Hardy drags herself back to the corner.

Serrano vs Hardy

04:40 , Matt Verri

Round 6

This is not good news for Hardy. Serrano has come out of her corner with intent, she’s starting to go through the gears now as she pushes for a stoppage.

Hardy’s mouthguard falls out, brief pause and the American apologises to Serrano as she trudges over to her corner. Seconds later it’s the familiar pattern of Serrano walking through Hardy, landing big shots constantly.

This really could be stopped now, got to think Hardy’s corner should probably think about pulling this.

Serrano vs Hardy

04:36 , Matt Verri

Round 5

A nod from Hardy, as the shots from Serrano continue to land. Not sure she needs to be giving Serrano any further encouragement.

Hardy hasn’t caused Serrano any problems at all, despite throwing plenty. This all feels a bit unnecessary now, as Hardy continues to take more and more punishment.

She’s made it to the halfway stage, Serrano dancing in the corner between rounds. Easy as you like for her.

Serrano vs Hardy

04:33 , Matt Verri

Round 4

Hardy will feel like she’s gone 15 rounds already, but she’s not even halfway through this fight.

This is a bit more of a competitive round, both holding their feet and trading but nothing particularly landing flush.

Or not - two right hooks from Serrano fired in. Legs are unsteady again for Hardy, more work to the body is clearly being felt too.

Once again though, Hardy makes it through the round. Just. 4-0 Serrano and that doesn’t do her dominance justice.

Serrano vs Hardy

04:30 , Matt Verri

Round 3

Hardy still looking to trade, despite the damage she’s taking. Corner might have to get involved soon, this is painful viewing.

Serrano is in a completely different league, Hardy’s face increasingly red and swollen. So sharp from Serrano, and it doesn’t really feel like she’s got out of second gear.

Serrano vs Hardy

04:26 , Matt Verri

Round 2

Serrano causing more problems to the body, though she’s warned there for a low blow. Hardy’s face is swelling up, this is a mismatch.

Fairly obvious that Serrano is not bothered about Hardy’s power, she’s strolling forward and landing her shots without a care in the world.

Left hook lands, Hardy staggering around the ring. And a right, this is relentless. Superb two rounds to start this fight.

Serrano vs Hardy

04:24 , Matt Verri

Round 1

Not a good start from Hardy, she is in trouble already! Barely 30 seconds gone and she is standing there looking to trade with Serrano - bad decision.

Legs unsteady, Serrano landing clean shots at will. Good work to do the body too, pain is clear on Hardy’s face.

And another left hand, Hardy’s nose is bloodied and she looks dazed. That was a brutal opening two minutes.

Ding ding!

04:22 , Matt Verri

Up and running in the first round.

Ten scheduled, two minutes rounds as ever. Time to see if Serrano can make yet another statement.

04:17 , Matt Verri

Here we go. Undisputed featherweight crown is on the line, would be a truly monumental upset if Hardy walked away with all the belts tonight.

Wouldn’t say she’s exactly rushing to the ring, not giving off a hugely enthusiastic vibe. Nor would I if I was fighting a seven-division world champion.

Serrano on her way to the ring and she is dancing her way through the crowd, she looks far more comfortable.

Co-main event!

04:10 , Matt Verri

Right then - we’re getting to the really serious business.

Next up it’s Amanda Serrano vs Heather Hardy in tonight’s chief support. These two fought four years ago, when Serrano won on points to take Hardy’s WBO world title.

Now it’s Serrano giving the 41-year-old American a shot at revenge, before she hopes to turn her attention to a rematch with Katie Taylor.

Two very different characters!

04:06 , Matt Verri

04:01 , Matt Verri

59-55. 59-55. 60-54.

Avila gets the unanimous decision, really impressive performance and a deserved win.

Doesn’t look like he has a bit of sweat on him either!

Avila vs Stephens

03:58 , Matt Verri

Round 6

Avila not looking to do anything crazy, knowing he’s got this fight won already. Just needs to hear the final bell.

Saying that, both men stand in the centre of the ring and trade in the closing stages... and that is that.

Stephens holds his hand up at the end of the fight, but I’m sure even he knows he hasn’t won this.

Avila vs Stephens

03:54 , Matt Verri

Round 5

More like it from Stephens, he’s on top in the opening minute and setting the pace. Not able to land anything particularly clean, but some encouraging signs.

Avila is really clever, he’s doing a good job of grabbing hold of Stephens whenever things do start to get a bit more uncomfortable, immediately halting the momentum.

Strong finish to the round from Avila, couple of nice left hooks. That could well still be Stephens’ round though, probably his first of the fight.

Three minutes to go.

Avila vs Stephens

03:50 , Matt Verri

Round 4

Three rounds down, three to go. Stephens needs to turn things around. Quickly.

Not sure he’s going to be able to though, tired already and Avila is the man who looks like he’s just getting going. Avila marching through Stephens’ defence, landing at will.

Stephens on the ropes, two big shots to the body. And now a huge right hand, Stephens covering up in the corner. Dear me, he tries to turn things around with an almighty right that misses by about three miles.

Avila laughing on his way to the corner - this couldn’t really be going much worse for Stephens.

Avila vs Stephens

03:46 , Matt Verri

Round 3

Straight right down the pipe from Avila, Stephens is having a fairly miserable time of it.

It really does look like Avila throws his punches in slow motion, but it’s doing the job. Not a boxing style that you’ll see being taught in many gyms, but he’s cruising through the rounds as it stands.

Three in the bag and it’s all been very comfortable for him.

Avila vs Stephens

03:42 , Matt Verri

Round 2

Sensing a tactic here... once again Avila marches from his corner and decides to throw the kitchen sink with his first shot of the round. Stephens expecting it this time.

Avila again is then happy to wait on the back foot and pick his shots when the opening comes, lovely left hook. He doesn’t do anything particularly quickly, but it’s effective.

Bit of showboating too, as Stephens throws a wild shot and Avila looks into the crowd.

That’s another round for Avila, 2-0 up and Stephens is not enjoying any real success in there.

Avila vs Stephens

03:38 , Matt Verri

Round 1

Both look there to be hit, big shots are getting through already.

Stephens is the one forcing the pace, pushing Avila back onto the ropes. But Avila is landing well with the counter shots, packing a lot of power off the back foot.

Left hook from Avila in the final few seconds - he had the better of that opening round.

03:35 , Matt Verri

Here we go.

Six rounds scheduled... although Avila throws a massive right hand after about two seconds. Not sure this is going the distance.

03:32 , Matt Verri

Right, time for Chris Avila vs Jeremy Stephens.

Stephens began his boxing career earlier this year with a draw against Jose Aldo, so he’s still waiting for his first win.

He’s still waiting for Avila too, who has been announced but there is no sign of him starting his ring walk.

Ah here we go - he has eventually decided he probably should get moving.

The main man...

03:26 , Matt Verri

Three fights to go!

03:20 , Matt Verri

The main event is not far away - excitement levels building inside the arena in Dallas!

Before that though, we’ve got Amanda Serrano back in action, looking to set up a rematch with Katie Taylor. First it’s a rematch with Heather Hardy tonight.

Next up, it’s Chris Avila vs Jeremy Stephens - Avila in just his second ever boxing fight, having moved over from MMA.

Still to come:

Jake Paul vs Nate Diaz

Amanda Serrano vs Heather Hardy

Chris Avila vs Jeremy Stephens

Ready for business

03:15 , Matt Verri

03:10 , Matt Verri

Silva sitting on the ropes with a stunned look on his face, he had no answers when the teenager went through the gears.

Sylve can’tkeep the smile off his face, rightfully so too. Lopez stopped Silva in the sixth round, Sylve needs just four.

Stays undefeated and he marches on to bigger and betters things. Lightweight division is one of the best right now - surely won’t be long until Sylve is right in the mix.

Silva stopped in the fourth!

03:07 , Matt Verri

Round 4

Brutal from Sylve, throwing relentlessly for about 15 seconds and Silva can’t cope. Shots to the body are causing the Brazilian all sorts of problem.

Back to the calm composure, but then Sylve tags Silva with a beautiful right hand, uppercut in there too and Silva’s legs do not look steady.

SILVA DOWN AGAIN! This is ridiculously good from Sylve... and it’s waved off!

Silva does not get up this time and Sylve has a statement win, that was superb.

Never a dull moment...

03:03 , Matt Verri

Sylve vs Silva

03:03 , Matt Verri

Round 3

Little smirk from Silva as he walks out of his corner - not sure that’s fooling anyone.

That’s low from the Brazilian, looked to go to the body and Sylve immediately turns to the referee. Just a warning to Silva, who apologises.

Sylve is so confident in the ring, too sharp at the moment. Great variety in his shots and Silva does not really have any idea what’s coming his way.

Another lovely left to the body from Sylve, Silva briefly bends over but again the bell comes to his rescue.

Sylve vs Silva

02:58 , Matt Verri

Round 2

Silva fought Teofimo Lopez five years ago, when he was stopped in the sixth round. That’s something for Sylve to try and better tonight.

The teenager is starting to click into gear now too, left hand lands and Silva looked briefly uncomfortable there.

And Silva is down! Left to the body, he’s in huge trouble. Up on eight, didn’t think he was getting up there. Bell goes pretty much immediately, Silva needs every second he can get now to recover.

Sylve vs Silva

02:55 , Matt Verri

Round 1

Sylve is only 19-years-old, that doesn’t really feel fair.

Silva is very much the bigger man in the ring, size and reach advantage. Nice right hand landed, Sylve hasn’t really found his range yet. Shots landing short at the moment.

Silva hears the ten second seconds and starts walking to his corner, thinking it’s the bell. Just about realises what’s going on in time, he’s probably taken that opening round.

02:51 , Matt Verri

Sylve 9-0 as a professional, eight of those wins coming by knockout.

He’s the favourite here and was very confident on his way to the ring - that hasn’t changed since he stepped through the ropes. So relaxed.

Up and running in the first round.

On we go...

02:48 , Matt Verri

Three more undercard fights to come before the main event.

Ashton Sylve vs William Silva is next up!

The race is on!

02:45 , Matt Verri

One win for the Paul family - can Jake make it two?

Logan has been in WWE action tonight in Detroit, but he has jumped straight on a plane and is now flying in to Dallas to be there to watch his brother taken on Nate Diaz!

Lots of respect between them!

02:41 , Matt Verri

Green marches on

02:36 , Matt Verri

99-91. 100-90. 100-89.

Green with a very wide points victory, unanimous decision and she now look to turn her focus to Savannah Marshall.

That really would be some fight!

Green vs Curry

02:33 , Matt Verri

Round 10

Will we see Green really push for a stoppage in the final round?

Doesn’t look like it, still composed and not rushing things. Curry is somehow still walking forwards, wears two big hooks for her troubles.

It is Green on the back foot in the closing seconds - for just the second time in her pro career, she is taken the distance.

Comfortable points win, but ridiculously brave from Curry.

Green vs Curry

02:30 , Matt Verri

Round 9

Have to imagine Green is surprised that Curry is still standing in front of her. She’s landed another clean shots to win five fights.

Here we go again, massive right hand and Curry’s head is again snapped back, but she continues to hang in there.

Another round in the bag for Green, but she’s only got three minutes left if she is to get that knockout win she wants.

Green vs Curry

02:27 , Matt Verri

Round 8

“If I just survive, I don’t win,” says Curry in her corner. She is not here to just hear the final bell.

Not quite as painful a round for her, Green has eased off the pace a bit and isn’t letting her hands go as much.

Good right hand from Curry on the inside too, she’s got her legs back underneath her and that was a solid round. Two to go.

Green vs Curry

02:24 , Matt Verri

Round 7

So brave from Curry, again she’s come out from the corner to stand in the centre of the ring and trade.

But she is getting caught clean, left hooks from Green are relentless. She’s one big right hand away from finishing it.

That was nearly it, Curry’s legs look gone here. Green can’t miss, this could probably be stopped now... Curry taking a lot of punishment.

One final big right to land on the ball. Not sure how Curry is still standing.

Green vs Curry

02:21 , Matt Verri

Round 6

Massive right hand from Green! Lands flush and Curry’s legs are not looking steady, she felt that.

And another one, Curry still trying to let her hands go but she is hurt. Left hook, right hand... the end cannot be far away now. Referee taking a close look.

Curry stumbles back to the ropes, big smile on her face as she suggests that was just a stumble. That smile swiftly disappears as Green fires the shots in again in the final few seconds... brutal round.

Curry looks a bit stunned in her corner.

Coming up later tonight...

02:19 , Matt Verri

Green vs Curry

02:18 , Matt Verri

Round 5

Curry needs to try and move to her right, stay away from that right hand of Green.

Get the feeling that Green is not worried about Curry’s power at all, she’s happy to stand there and risk taking a punch in order to land a counter.

Another solid round for Green, I’ve got her 4-1 up now.

Green vs Curry

02:15 , Matt Verri

Round 4

“She thinks you’re going to tire - wear her out,” Curry’s corner tell her. They’re confident she can maintain this pace.

It’s all getting a bit messy, Green making it a physical fight. They nearly clash heads as they both look to land huge shots over the top at the same time.

Feels like that right hand is coming though, Green is finding her range. And here it comes, two massive shots land in the final seconds of the round. Curry takes it.

Ominous signs though for Curry...

Green vs Curry

02:12 , Matt Verri

Round 3

Green is still yet to really get going. Landing the odd big shot, but not backing it up.

She has the size advantage but Curry continues to hold her own at close range, not allowing herself to be bullied on the inside.

Fairly scrappy round, Green maybe just about doing enough to edge it but not hugely convincing.

Green vs Curry

02:09 , Matt Verri

Round 2

Wow, right hand from Green and that landed clean. Curry’s head is snapped back but her legs are still steady.

Fair play to Curry, she is not just looking to hang in there. Standing in the pocket and happy to trade, decent work on the inside too. But then Green throws that right hand and it just looks so dangerous.

Curry tagged a few times, but she is still right in this feet. Green not having it all her own way.

Green vs Curry

02:05 , Matt Verri

Round 1

Ten two-minute rounds scheduled. Not sure it will make it that far, 11 of Green’s 12 wins have come by knockout.

It’s Curry on the front foot in the opening round, patient from Green as she waits for the opening to launch that right hand.

There it is, landing late in the round. Curry takes it well though, didn’t slow her down.

Next up!

02:01 , Matt Verri

Shadasia Green vs Olivia Curry.

Green is 12-0 as a pro and she’s currently mandatory to fight Savannah Marshall, the British star who holds all of the super-middleweight belts.

Victory here and Green will be turning her focus to Marshall...

Building to the main event!

01:58 , Matt Verri

Still more action to come on the undercard to come, but that main event between Jake Paul and Nate Diaz is only a couple of hours away.

If this week is anything to go by, it is not one to be missed! Fair to say the pair are not particularly fond of each other....

Sanchez gets the unanimous decision!

01:52 , Matt Verri

77-75. 78-74. 79-73.

All in favour of Alan Sanchez! Had to be, he landed the cleaner shots throughout and gets a deserved win.

Sanchez vs Beltran

Round 8

Here we go then. They’re slugging it out, Beltran has nothing to lose and he’s going to throw everything at this.

Big right hand from Sanchez, and an uppercut! He’s on the charge, but still Beltran does not take a backwards step. Relentless.

Brave but he’s in real trouble, Sanchez is picking him apart. No idea why he’s taking these risks but it’s a lot of fun. And here comes Beltran, uppercut lands and so does the left hook!

Final ten seconds, they’re swinging for the fences and there is the bell! Sensational final round.

Superb from both... Sanchez should get the decision.

Round 7

Six minutes to go. Beltran needs something very special now, you feel.

He briefly goes southpaw, but bins that off after about a minute and back to orthodox. Beltran keeps marching forward, but he’s getting caught too regularly.

Sanchez winds up the right hand, throws it from so far back that I’m not sure it would have landed had his arms been ten feet long.

No harm done though, another round ticked away. Difficult to score that one, but Sanchez is surely more than one round up on the cards heading into the final three minutes.

Sanchez vs Beltran

Round 6

Stiff jab from Sanchez, Beltran’s head snaps back. Beltran’s defence increasingly is his face, not really a recipe for success. That cut above his eye is opening up again.

Right hand followed by a left hook from Sanchez, while Beltran’s shoelace is undone... he could do without another challenge.

Sanchez’s round again - he’s well on track for victory on the cards if it goes the full eight rounds.

Sanchez vs Beltran

Round 5

Beltran with a well-timed uppercut, but it does feel like he’s starting to feel the pace. Sanchez on the back foot for much of the fight but he looks composed in there.

That’s a lovely left from Beltran though, as Sanchez moved in with the right hook.

Both happy to trade in the centre of the ring, fight continues to have spells of about ten seconds where it really comes to life.

Sanchez vs Beltran

Round 4

Doctor having a look at the back of Sanchez’s head, where that cut is. “Are you alright?” he asks. Not sure what he expected Sanchez to respond to that, but the reply is an obvious one: yes.

Beltran starting to look a bit wild, a couple of big right hands miss by a fair distance. Sanchez landing the cleaner shots, but he does get tagged with a left hook there.

Into the last 30 seconds, is Sanchez going to go through the gears again? Yes he is.

Loands a lovely right hand, and a left hook. He’s done it again. Entertaining fight and at the halfway stage, Sanchez has got to be 3-1 up at least.

Sanchez vs Beltran

Round 3

Looking at the replay, it was a clash of heads as Sanchez moved in that caused to cuts to both men. All cleaned up now, neither of them should cause any real problems.

Round is paused a minute in, Beltran forgot to put his mouthguard back. Zero chance I’d be leaving my corner without that. And body armour.

Less action in this round, after that explosive second. Sanchez working well to the body. That will certainly help slow Beltran down, and he may well have edged another round with an impressive final 20 seconds.

Sanchez vs Beltran

01:24 , Matt Verri

Round 2

Big left hook from Beltran, follows it up two, three, four more. Flown out of his corner at the start of this round.

Sanchez has decided to start swinging, he’s got a fairly big cut too. Looks to be around his ear, lots of blood coming from it.

And Beltran is cut as well, just above his eye. Both corners are going to be very busy at the end of this round to try and clean things up.

They continue to trade, brilliant pace to this fight. Sanchez with the body shot, he’s responded so well to Beltran’s good work early in the round.

Sanchez vs Beltran

Round 1

Beltran has taken centre ring in the early stages, confident start. Sanchez goes for a massive right hand, Beltran and everyone watching saw that coming a mile off.

Couple of nice left hooks from Beltran, but Sanchez responds with a good right hand. His best shot of the round.

Fairly even opening round, Sanchez maybe just about edging it after a strong finish.

Ding ding!

01:17 , Matt Verri

We are underway in Dallas! Beltran 17-1 as a pro, Sanchez 22-5-1.

Already a really good crowd inside the arena, fans have taken their seats nice and early.

Here we go!

01:12 , Matt Verri

First fight on the main undercard. Alan Sanchez vs Angel Beltran.

Eight rounds of welterweight action scheduled - fighters are on their way to the ring. Let’s get this up and running.

You better settle in...

Paul insists world title will come

01:03 , Matt Verri

Jake Paul suffered the first defeat of his career earlier this year against Tommy Fury, in what was his first bout against a professional boxer.

Safe to say that has not impacted his self-confidence, with Paul still adamant he will become a world champion in the sport. He’s suggested that will come in the next three days.

“I’m more certain that I can become world champion now than I was before,” Paul said, reflecting on the defeat to Fury.

He added: “I have all the tools, the punching power, the strength, the cardio, the speed so really it’s just about the thousands and thousands and thousands of repetitions that I need to become a world champion.”

Paul to fight the winner?

Sunday 6 August 2023 00:55 , Matt Verri

KSI vs Tommy Fury has been confirmed for October in Manchester on a huge night which will see Logan Paul fight on the same card.

The pair will settle their feud on October 14 at the AO Arena in Manchester. Paul appears likely to fight the winner, whether it be a rematch with Fury or a much-anticipated bout against KSI.

Announcing the news on social media, KSI wrote: “OCTOBER 14TH, I’m doing what Jake Paul couldn’t and beating Tommy Fury on the biggest night in crossover boxing history, at Manchester’s AO Arena, live on DAZN PPV on the PRIME CARD!”

KSI told DAZN: “I came back to boxing to show the world the crazy levels I’m at. I’ve shown through obliterating all my past opponents that I am the best in this scene. “

“KO after KO has now led me to the toughest fight in the influencer boxing scene. I’m fighting Tommy Fury. The man that defeated the once undefeated Jake Paul is now my opponent and I can’t wait to silence all the doubters that believe I have no chance. After this fight, you’ll understand that I truly am that guy.”

Logan Paul, the older brother of Jake, will also be on the card against an opponent yet to be confirmed.

Diaz: I’m not trying to fool anybody

Sunday 6 August 2023 00:47 , Matt Verri

It doesn’t take a lot to get Nate Diaz riled up, but the 38-year-old was in a relatively relaxed mood when discussing the fight and his desire to avoid any fireworks in the build-up.

“I don’t even want to go to a press conference to argue with nobody,” Diaz said.

“If we’re gonna argue we’re gonna fight, so let’s just stay the f*** away from each other before the fight, pardon my language.

“I’m in an important point of my career where it’s like, I’m not trying to scare anybody, I’m not trying to fool anybody. If people want to watch, that’d be great. If they don’t, that’s fine too.”

Paul: Diaz never been hit by someone like me

Sunday 6 August 2023 00:22 , Matt Verri

Jake Paul has vowed to “finish” Nate Diaz’s career tonight, in what was a typically explosive press conference this week.

“I’m going to bully the bully,” Paul said.

“This little guy you love so much is going to be dead on Saturday night, I’m gong to finish his career. I’m bullying the bully, is he f***ing dumb?

“This motherf***** can’t even speak. I’m going to weather the storm and knock him out. He’s never been hit by someone like me.”
